- If you’re making this chai syrup for gifting, you can easily double, triple, quadruple etc. this recipe as long as you have a big enough bowl. However, I do recommend making it in a large pouring vessel because it will be easier to pour the finished recipe into jars if you have a pouring spout. Try using a 2-quart measuring cup for the best ease in filling the jars.

Discover the Aromatic and Comforting Flavors of Chai
Chai is the Hindi word for tea. So, when we ask for chai tea, we are actually being redundant by saying, tea-tea. The term “chai” is actually the shortened version of the word “masala chai” which translates to “spiced tea” in Hindi.
We know Chai as a type of spiced tea that originated in India and has become popular around the world. It is made by brewing black tea with a blend of aromatic spices and herbs, such as cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
The spices used in chai can vary, but they often include a combination of warming and aromatic spices that give the tea its distinctive flavor. Chai is often served with milk and sweetened with sugar or honey. It can be enjoyed hot or iced and is a popular choice for those looking for a flavorful and comforting beverage.
