Vampire Bark Ingredients
It only takes three easy to find ingredients to make this festive Halloween treat.
- white melting chocolates – these are so easy to melt in the microwave, you could also use a bar of white chocolate, but it is a little trickier to melt in the microwave; stick with the melting chocolates if you can.
- red gel – in the baking aisle at almost any grocery store
- gummy vampire teeth – available leading up to Halloween
How To Make Halloween Bark?
Making chocolate bark is such an easy process and once you know how, it’s simple to change it up for any holiday season.
Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper, otherwise the chocolate will stick to the pan.
Melt your white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in thirty-second (or less) increments until melted, making sure to stir in between. The more melted the chocolate becomes you might want to decrease melting time to fifteen-second intervals.
Pour melted chocolate on a sheet pan and spread it out in an even layer, about ¼ inch thick. Quickly add the gummy teeth all over the chocolate. Before the chocolate sets, add in the vampire blood dots by sticking the tube of red gel into the chocolate right below the teeth and pressing as you pull it out. Repeat this to all the vampire fangs. Add extra drips all over the chocolate and to the teeth to make it look messy.
Place the sheet pan in the fridge for 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
Break the bark apart into individual pieces with a sharp knife, making sure each piece of bark includes a vampire fang.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why did my chocolate get lumpy in the microwave?
When white chocolate gets overheated, it starts to get a crumbly texture. Try lowering heating heating intervals to fifteen seconds each instead of thirty.
How do I cleanly break the bark apart?
Use a sharp knife to make sure each piece gets a gummy candy and breaks apart clean.
Where do I get gummy vampire teeth?
Target or WalMart in the Halloween candy section.
What is the red gel, and where do I get it?
It is a clear frosting you can find in the baking aisle of your grocery store or craft store. It is widely available.
How To Package Vampire Bark For Giving
Nothing is cuter than a wrapped up Halloween treat! Perfect for school parties if they allow homemade or for neighbor kids that you know personally.
Bark pieces look best placed in a clear cellophane bag and tied with twine or red ribbon. You could even tie a set of plastic vampire teeth onto each bag.
