Ingredients for Pretzel Treats
Full recipe is located at the bottom of the page.
Pantry Ingredients
- Mini Pretzels – make sure they are salted and each pretzel should be approximately 1.5″ wide
- Candy melts – white, pink and red – always available at Walmart and Amazon
- Valentine’s Day sprinkles – choose any you like
How To Make Cupid’s Pretzel Treats
Step one: Melt each color of candy melt using either a double broiler or place them in a microwave safe container and heat in 20 second bursts, stopping to stir after each interval, until smooth.
Step two: Dip pretzels into melted chocolate and lay on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step three: Sprinkle each pretzel with Valentine’s sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet on the pretzel. (Alternate between dipping pretzels and putting sprinkles on. The sprinkles won’t stick if the chocolate has started to set.)
Step four: Allow pretzels to cool completely, about 30 minutes, or pop them into the fridge for 15 minutes before serving. Make sure they are completely set before placing into a sealed container.
How Do I Store These Treats?
You can store Cupid’s pretzel treats at room temperature for 5-7 days.
Use an airtight container so the pretzels do not go stale, making sure they are completely cooled before stacking them on top of one another.
Can I Serve These Warm or Cold?
Wait until they have completely cooled down before serving and eating.
If the chocolate hasn’t completely set, these pretzel treats can make quite the mess, especially if little fingers are involved.
How To Package These Valentine Treats?
Add a stack of six to a cellophane bag and tie the with a ribbon.
Print out a little note that says, “Life would “KNOT” be the same without you!”
