I like using a mixture of wings and drummettes, but you can use all wings or all drummettes if you like. Totally up to you. Just make sure the little wing tip is removed (they usually are).

  1. I can’t believe these are done in the slow cooker! They look fried and then smothered in a super yummy sauce. :)

  2. My game day did just get better. I love how I can throw it all in the slow cooker and let it go until game time and we can gobble them up!

  3. Cathy, it’s always so much fun seeing what you’re cooking up next! My guys would love these! And I love that this recipe skips all the time and effort of frying and uses the slow cooker instead. Yes, the slow cooker is definitely my friend … and like you, I’m not quite sure how people survive without one lol! What a yummy game day recipe!

  4. We love chicken wings, but I’ve never cooked them in the slow cooker before… totally trying it soon!!

Made these for dinner followed the recipe to the letter. The taste was great but the chicken wings fell off the bones after the 7 hour cook time. It was like eating pulled chicken.

Hmmm, that’s interesting. Makes me wonder if not all wings are created equal as far as how meaty they are? I use a really good, quality brand (more expensive than most) and they are fairly meaty and hold up well. Thank you for the comment.

On Yummly you have a recipe for sweet and savoury chicken wings.
    It calls for lemon gelatin.
Could you tell me if you are using gelatin, or jello.

    Thank you so much.

How long are these cooked for?
I would assume you cook them on low.

Sounds yummy but not a wing fan. Can I use some other chicken part? Boneless thighs perhaps?

Sounds great! Think it would work on high? If so…how long would you cook?
