Oreo Crust:

  • Place Oreo cookies in a food processor (or smash in a sealed bag) to make fine crumbs.
    36 golden Oreo cookies
  • Pour melted butter into the bowl of the food processor and pulse until fully combined, or do this in a mixing bowl with a wooden spoon. Press crumbs into the bottom and up sides of a sprayed 9-inch pie plate. Let crust set up in the freezer while you work on the filling.
    1/2 cup (8 tbsps.) butter, melted

Strawberry Filling:

  • Place water, sugar and cornstarch in a medium sized saucepan and whisk together. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat.
    1 cup water*, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • Add dry strawberry JELL-O and whisk until combined. Allow to cool.
    1 (3 oz.) package strawberry flavored JELL-O
  • Fold in fresh strawberries and pour into prepared pie crust.
    3 quarts fresh strawberries, cleaned and destemmed
  • Chill in the refrigerator until set. You can also chill in the freezer for a shorter amount of time (1 hour) to save time.

Whipped Cream Topping:

  • Pour chilled cream, sugar and vanilla into a large mixing bowl. Beat on medium-high speed approximately 2 minutes, until thick and spreadable. Spoon or pipe onto chilled pie filling.
    1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (chilled), 2 tbsps. granulated sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla extract

*Water: Use filtered or bottled water if your tap water has on off or chlorine taste to it.
Whipped Cream: Feel free to substitute with thawed, whipped topping or pre-made whipped cream if you don't want to make your own.
