Instructions

  • In a large pot, boil the pasta according to package directions (about 8 minutes). While the pasta cooks, continue with the rest of the recipe. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain and set the pasta aside.
8 oz. dry spaghetti noodles, 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter and the oil.
6 tbsps. butter, 2 tbsps. olive oil
  • Add the shrimp, asparagus, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, then flip the shrimp and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until they’re pink and cooked through.
1 lb. raw, thawed large shrimp (15-20), 1 cup chopped asparagus , 6 cloves garlic, 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes, 1/4 tsp. kosher salt, 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • Add the remaining butter, cooked pasta, tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, parsley, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined.
1 cup grape or cherry tomatoes, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup chopped, fresh parsley, 1 tsp. Italian seasoning, 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
