Instructions

  • In a medium-sized bowl or large liquid measuring cup, combine the sweetened condensed milk, sugar, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.

  • Pour the mixture into a clean half-pint jar (8 oz / 240 ml capacity) or airtight container. Seal with a lid.

Notes

  • Makes about 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) total syrup.
  • Each serving is 2 tablespoons (30 ml), perfect for drizzling over a scoop of ice cream.
  • A large measuring cup makes it easier to pour into the jar without spilling.
  • Chill time helps the flavors blend and gives the syrup a thicker texture.
  • Give it a stir before using, as the spices may settle over time.
  • You can double this recipe to make extra for gifting.
  • Try it in cold brew. It’s not just for ice cream.
  • The recipe makes about two tablespoons more than will fit into a half-pint jar if you are giving it as a gift. Enjoy the extra over a bowl of ice cream for yourself.
