  • Spray the air fryer basket generously with cooking spray.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for about 5 minutes. While it heats up, slice each piece of bread into four pieces by cutting it in half vertically, then horizontally.

  • In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ¼ teaspoon cinnamon. Whisk until well blended.

  • In a small bowl, mix the sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon to make the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  • Working in batches of 6, dunk the bread pieces into the egg mixture, soaking each side for about 10 seconds to ensure the bread is coated evenly.
  • Sprinkle each side of the bread with the cinnamon sugar mixture and place them in the air fryer, leaving space between each.
  • Cook for 4 minutes, flip the bread, then cook for another 4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serve with maple syrup and/or whipped cream.
