Strawberry Grapefruit Paloma

Ingredients

Rim:

Drink:

  • 2-3 strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice (1 tablespoon)
  • 2 oz. silver tequila (1/4 cup) (mezcal also works)
  • ice
  • 4-6 oz. grapefruit soda, such as Jarritos (preferred) or Squirt, chilled

Garnish:

  • sliced strawberries or grapefruit wedge
  • thyme or rosemary sprig

Instructions

  • Pour sugar onto a plate. Run a lime wedge along the rim of a highball glass and gently press the edges of the glass into the sugar. (If you prefer a salt rim, feel free to switch it out.)
  • Add strawberries and lime juice to a cocktail shaker and use a muddler to mash the strawberries. Add tequila and and fill the shaker halfway with ice.
  • Shake well, until chilled, and strain into prepared highball glass filled with ice.
  • Top off with chilled grapefruit soda and garnish with strawberries and thyme.

Notes
