Apple Crisp - Easy Recipe

This particular apple crisp is the lazy baker's best friend. Not only will you get all the satisfaction and flavor of apple pie, this simple apple crisp is going to be ready in half the time. Warmly spiced apple pie filling is topped with sweet, buttery oats that crack under the pressure of a spoon. Don't forget a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Add apple pie filling to the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, add butter, flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Beat ingredients together on slow speed or until consistency is crumbly; about 1-2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle oat mixture evenly on top of apples.
  • Bake for thirty minutes or until the topping is brown and sides are bubbling.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
