<li><strong>Step Two:</strong> Next, in a bowl, <strong>mix together</strong> the cheese, yogurt, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and fresh lemon juice until smooth and creamy.</li>
<li><strong>Step Three:</strong> Now, add the cooled caramelized onions, scallions, and season with salt and cayenne pepper to taste. Give it a good stir to <strong>blend everything together</strong>. Cover the bowl and chill the dip for at least 2 hours—overnight is even better. Trust me, the flavors really develop beautifully over time.</li>

<li>Prepping onions ahead of time is a great <strong>time saver</strong>. You do not want to caramelize early, but you can peel and dice them and keep them stored in a resealable container ( 1 or 2 cup portion sizes are best) in your freezer. When it&#8217;s time to make a recipe you can drop the frozen onions right into your pan for easy cooking.</li>
<li>If blue cheese is <strong>not your favorite</strong>, you can leave it out and enjoy this recipe as a French onion dip. It&#8217;s still good!</li>
