Hi!

I made these this weekend and they were great! My recipe which came with the pan didn't have the maple extract which sounds fabulous. I will add that next time.

I have a question: How do you get your cakes to lie flat? Mine puffed up leaving a bump. I ended up slicing the bump off to make them lay flat when sandwiched together.

Your photo shows them laying flat on the table/counter. What is your secret?

The pans are available at Walmart with the recipe on the package. These are delicious and get lots of raves. Roast walnuts, chop them up, and roll the edges in them. Nice addition!

You could, the shape would just be off for a whoopie pie, slanted up the sides. The edges might also come out crispy in a muffin pan. But try it, let us know how it goes.
