Push that seven-layered bean dip aside for Superbowl and serve something a little different, more classy and yummy.
Like a typical Greek salad, the same fresh flavors come through in this dip; cucumbers, tomato, feta and kalamata olives work together to create a fabulous snack.
This will disappear quick so you might want to make extra!!!
Layered Greek Dip
Adapted from BHG
One 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1-1/2 cups prepared hummus
1 cup chopped cucumber
1 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup chopped pitted Kalamata olives
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/3 cup sliced green onions
Multigrain tortilla chips/pita chips
In a medium mixing bowl beat cream cheese, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, and garlic with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and combined.
Spread cream cheese mixture into a deep 9″ pie plate or shallow serving dish. Evenly spread hummus on cream cheese layer. Top with cucumber, tomato, olives, feta cheese and green onions. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Serve with chips.

I live in Greece, and this reminds me of almost exactly what I had in a taverna last night. The only unfortunate thing about replicating this here is that it’s nearly impossible to find hummus in grocery stores! It’s no fun! Great recipe, though.
Lauren at KeepItSweet says
I never would have thought to put cream cheese and hummus in the same dip but I can see how this would be delicious.
Dana says
This looks insanely fabulous!!
Susan says
OMG, this looks wonderful! And the cherry tomatoes have me salivating, they look so lucious and ripe. I live in the Midwest, and most of the produce in the grocery stores this time a year looks half dead. How lucky you are to live in a part of the country where you can purchase such glorious produce!

I bought all the items for a potluck tomorrow. I didn’t realised until I got home that there wasn’t any garlic listed in the ingredients 🙁
Three minced cloves of garlic, right?
GermanCityGirl says
PS. I hope that didn’t sound grumpy! I didn’t mean it to 🙂
Noble Pig says
Sorry!
GermanCityGirl says
No worries! I just wanted to tell you so you could add it for others. I’m all out of garlic here so I’m having to use powder.
Blond Duck says
I could eat the whole bowl!

This is such a good idea! I love greek food

I successfully made this for the potluck and it was completely finished by the attendees! Everyone enjoyed the flavour combination and the compliment that I heard the most was that the freshness of the vegetables undercut the seasoned cream cheese + the feta! Thanks for passing this along 🙂
Pam says
I could eat the whole bowl by myself -yum!

What a delicious looking dip! All the best parts of a Greek salad in dippable form… you are a genius.

I made this dip for a work party, my coworkers loved it. I didn’t use onions, not a fan, but it came out wonderful. Thanks for all the delicious ideas!
