This recipe reminds me so much of my grandnother who made them all the time. They turned of soft with the glaze really perfect cookie.

I’ve tried a lot of Italian cookies recipes over the years, and these are the first ones that actually stay soft the way they’re supposed to. The glaze sets right on top and doesn’t disappear, and the texture is exactly what I think of when I hear Italian cookies. Very good recipe.

This is one of the better Italian cookie recipes I’ve made. The anise flavor is just right, and the texture stays soft without getting dense. It really feels like a traditional Italian cookies recipe.

Even though I’m here in Boston with all the Italian bakeries, I prefer this recipe. Thank you and Happy easter. Loved your Easter bunny story. Tried to take my kids to see the bunny many times, they also cried.
