I added tomatoes to the sandwich and served it with tart granny smith apples sprinkled with a tiny but of salt.

What an extravaganza of flavors! My husband LOVED it and it was so easy to make. We only used 1/2 of a large avocado which was plenty. It has a kick so if you are heat sensitive, cut back on the red pepper.

It is a grilled turkey, avocado and cheese sandwich.

That’s not to say that it doesn’t look totally delicious, and I would gladly jam it into my mouth with the speed of a striking cobra. But it’s not grilled cheese.
