I added a few smashed garlic cloves to the onions, as well as some bay leaves alongside the sage.

The second time, I added a few allspice berries to the cider, which also turned out great.

This is definitely a recipe that invites improvisation.

I just had cider glazed pulled pork on top of an english muffin and topped with a poached egg. Now I know how to make that glaze so I can recreate it at home. These sausages look fabulous.
