I had a load of blackberries and this was so easy to make and it turned out so good. With ice cream it was divine.

I developed this recipe around blackberries because they soften into their own juices while holding together. Other berries release different amounts of juice and break down differently as they bake, so the finished galette may not be quite the same. Raspberries are especially delicate and will not hold together as nicely.
