I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me. I did this to a lemon/blueberry cake that I was supposed to be taking to a fancy party. I sliced it, drizzled a glaze and hoped nobody noticed the tops were missing from the slices. So, so frustrating! Hang in there with the move – just think of how nice it will be when you are finished.
