Your game day menu just got better with these Slow Cooker Honey Pineapple Chicken Wings. Let the slow cooker do all the work and serve these sweet, tasty wings at halftime. They are a guaranteed touchdown.
I love wings, but sometimes you need a recipe that doesn’t include all the time-consuming frying. I get you. You want to sit and watch the game and not be stuck in the kitchen. This is why the slow cooker is your friend. Is there anyone out there who doesn’t have a slow cooker? How do you survive?
Anyway, you’re going to love these flavorful, sticky wings. They are going to make you feel even better about your team when they win and are going to take away the sting when your team loses. You’ll see.
I like using a mixture of wings and drummettes, but you can use all wings or all drummettes if you like. Totally up to you. Just make sure the little wing tip is removed (they usually are).
After you pour in the quick and easy sauce.
And here’s how they look when finished…golden brown and delicious.
Finishing the sauce only takes a couple of minutes.
These are going to disappear faster than you imagined.
Of course you don’t have to wait for game day to enjoy these awesome wings, they will happily get eaten any night of the week and for any occasion.

I can’t believe these are done in the slow cooker! They look fried and then smothered in a super yummy sauce. 🙂

My game day did just get better. I love how I can throw it all in the slow cooker and let it go until game time and we can gobble them up!

Cathy, it’s always so much fun seeing what you’re cooking up next! My guys would love these! And I love that this recipe skips all the time and effort of frying and uses the slow cooker instead. Yes, the slow cooker is definitely my friend … and like you, I’m not quite sure how people survive without one lol! What a yummy game day recipe!

Made these for dinner followed the recipe to the letter. The taste was great but the chicken wings fell off the bones after the 7 hour cook time. It was like eating pulled chicken.
Cathy says
Hmmm, that’s interesting. Makes me wonder if not all wings are created equal as far as how meaty they are? I use a really good, quality brand (more expensive than most) and they are fairly meaty and hold up well. Thank you for the comment.

Hello:
On Yummly you have a recipe for sweet and savoury chicken wings.
It calls for lemon gelatin.
Could you tell me if you are using gelatin, or jello.
Thank you so much.

How long are these cooked for?
I would assume you cook them on low.
Cathy says
Instructions are in the recipe.
Charlie says
Sorry: Didn’t see it.
could you tell me if you are using gelatin or jello?
Sue says
Sounds yummy but not a wing fan. Can I use some other chicken part? Boneless thighs perhaps?
Cathy says
That would work.

Sounds great! Think it would work on high? If so…how long would you cook?
