This weekend I went a little crazy. I bought all new Halloween baking stuff so I can create some scary, cute and totally festive Halloween treats. There are so much cool things out there and I wanted to buy it all. I even got a couple of Halloween themed baking books because I could not not pass them up. Both look like they have some really great Halloween food ideas in them.
And if you’ve been reading here for any period of time, you’ll know I consider myself the queen of Halloween. And since my boys are teens now, they prefer gory, bloody, scary Halloween as opposed to the cutesy Halloweens of the past. I’m stuck in the middle of both. There’s no reason cute pumpkins can’t be found next to zombie graves.
Anyway, here are some great Halloween Baking Must Haves. I’ve already done all the leg work, now all you have to do is create!
Mini Cupcake-Pumpkin Topper Pan I cannot wait to bake with this sweet pan!
Black and Orange Halloween Treat Bags ~ Classy, paper Halloween bags. So much better than the cellophane ones. I love the chevron pattern too.
Apocalypse Cakes: Recipes for the End
“We are besieged with talk of crisis, meltdown, earthquakes, sink holes, global warming, bailouts, and more. Once you realize there’s not a whole lot of time left, grab a Bundt pan and whip up your own scrumptious Fallen Angel Food Cake–or one of the other 29 apocalyptic cakes in this irreverent cookbook–and indulge in your final days. Each full-color dessert photograph is accompanied by a short hilarious description.” I love it.
Witch Combo Pack ~ This comes with the baking cups, sprinkles and picks. How cute are these?
Halloween Mini Cups ~ Fill them with treats, cupcakes or whatever you like. I think they’ll make everything taste better.
Spider Cupcake Stands ~ These are a perfect centerpiece for Halloween themed gatherings that are not supposed to be scary.
Hungry Halloween: featuring Movie Monster Munchies, Bewitched Buffet, and Dead Man’s Diner ~ The title says it all.
Zombie Head Mini Popcorn Boxes ~ Fill with popcorn or cookies!
Killer Machete Stir Sticks ~ Sure they are drinks stirs, but are going to look great coming out of my cupcakes, with some red food gel on the tips. Get ready for the bloody cupcake wars.
Spiderweb Cupcake Liners ~ These take a simple cupcake to a whole new level of pretty.
Miniature Tombstones ~ I bought these miniature tombstones to put on top of a graveyard cake. They are so perfect and only 1″ tall.
Walking Zombie Cookie Cutter ~ How awesome is this? If you are into the zombie craze, you need zombie cookies at your Halloween Party.
Candy Eyeballs ~ These are great all year long, but especially at Halloween. They make every baked good come alive.
Halloween Cookie Pan ~ If your kids love to decorate cookies, they are going to love this cute pan. Reviews say the cookies come out great.
Bloody Bones ~ If you have boys (like me), regular bones sprinkles are not enough at Halloween, they need to be bloody.
Bloody Chainsaw Cupcake Picks ~ If your Halloween party theme is Texas Chainsaw Massacre, you need these for your cupcakes.
Halloween Silicone Spatula ~ Perfect for a hostess gift basket or maybe you just want to feel festive mixing up your Halloween, inspired baked goods, why not use a cute spatula.
Zombie Apocalypse Blood Spattered Tablecloth ~ Let’s face it, if making scary treats is your thing, you need a blood spattered tablecloth to set the scene during dessert. Very Dexterish don’t you think?
What crazy food are you cooking for Halloween? I’d love to hear about it.
