Happy November everyone! It’s hard to believe we are done with Halloween and now the most “food centric” month is upon us. November always comes as such a surprise, but really it’s my favorite month of the year.

Here in the Pacific Northwest we are in the thick of Fall weather, the leaves are turning, its been raining like crazy and jeans and turtlenecks have been brought forward in the drawers. I love it. And now it’s time to start planning your Thanksgiving menus. And while we obsess over the turkey and side dishes, dessert is just as important. I think we all look forward to a sweet bite after the plethora of savory food.
I like to do a dessert bar, with many choices of flavors, textures and ideas. Alongside traditional offerings I love to add Fall inspired cupcakes, bars, cheesecakes and even a little taste of Christmas into the mix. Mostly, I want it to be different every year. And if you think it’s all too much food, one of the best parts of Thanksgiving is sending guests home with leftovers. They will appreciate a sweet bite the next morning with their coffee.
Today I’m sharing 10 Fall dessert recipes from some of my very best blogging buddies. I know and love all these girls personally and can vouch for their cooking prowess to the highest degree. I can almost guarantee you are going to love any of the recipes you choose to try. In fact, I can’t wait to hear about your success. Please let me know.

While the deserts look wonderful I begin to dread this time of year due to pumpkins. While cute when carved I have had since a small child an aversion to the taste of pumpkin. Belong to a club with about 70 members, male and female, and often bring deserts for the meetings. I took a poll and found that men far out numbered the women in liking the taste of pumpkin. Only 11
women liked pumpkin but made it for their “men folk” and only 17 men liked pumpkin. So more than half don’t like pumpkin at all. I made pie for years before my son and DH actually told me they only eat it because it’s there. So I guess what I am saying is that maybe a little less heavy on the pumpkin deserts would be much appreciated.
