If you are wondering what to serve your guests at your next soiree….I would say to give these Bacon-Wrapped Apricots with Sage a try. I’ve always loved bacon-wrapped dates so why not apricots? I also love the addition of sage. It’s a nice complement to the dried apricot. Brushed with maple syrup, these really are a treat!
I can’t think of a better appetizer you can throw together in a flash, they are that simple to make. I appreciate their chic look, especially if you use cute little serving sticks.
This recipe makes two dozen, but you might want to double it as they will disappear fast. These bites are especially perfect for cocktail hour and you won’t be stuck in the kitchen making them while guests party it up.
Preheat oven to 375o F. Place a sage leaf on each apricot.
Wrap each apricot with a piece of bacon and place seam side down on a baking sheet.
Bake until bacon is beginning to crisp, 6 to 10 minutes each side (this will depend on your oven, they will first brown on the bottom so flip one over to see how they are doing). Remove from the oven and brush with the maple syrup.
Serve with cute toothpicks!
