This shot was taken over our vineyard property a couple of days ago. Is it a sign…a promise…of good things to come?
I hope so.
I have to admit, with the size and scope of our project it’s easy to lose your nerve as it is so financially encompassing.
But when I see a picture like this, I feel better about it. Yes, rainbows are a dime a dozen in Oregon but they never cease to amaze me.
Thanks for sending it to me Jim. What did we do before cell phone cameras?

I am working on a whole new website t the moment and it is just as daunting some days…I think it is the fear of the unknown!!! My project is not half as big as yours and I am freaked out!!! I wish you well on your project!!!

Beautiful, a rainbow over the construction site! So many grand projects start with the voiced apprehension I read from you occasionally, and so many were wonderfully successful because of the vision and planning of someone driven ..and you seem driven to build and grow a vineyard and winery Noble pig! And you also have the support of your family..and your faithful blog readers!
From what I have read, you know what you are talking about, have consulted the best in the business, are well educated in what you are doing, and have boundless energy and passion for it!My husband and I eagerly await your first vintage….and we don’t live too far away, so we’re hoping to taste the fruit of your success within a decade or so!
p.s. have you thought of publishing a cookbook? I’ll buy one!

Rainbows, God’s covenant that he would never send another great flood like he did with Noah.
He was so mad at man’s errors back then. Now he is being patient with us.

That’s lovely. If rainbows are really a dime a dozen in Oregon, I’m packing up and moving out. I see one every year or so, where I am.

Rainbows are wondrous things! I saw a lot when we visited Maui, but I never got tired of them. They are spectacular blessings.
I was thinking of you this morning already, Cathy. In a wine column in our local paper, there’s an article about how terrific Oregon wines are. Carabella Vineyard owner/winemaker Mike Hallock is hosting a dinner and wine tasting at a great wine bar/shop near me. I am not familiar with them, but knew you would be.
May more rainbows be on your horizon!
