I love black beans so this Jalapeno Black Bean Dip is one of my go to choices. It has wonderful flavors and is not too spicy (the cheese and the mayo take care of that).
It’s also perfect for the Super Bowl, so let’s make it!
Here’s what you will need: Black beans, jalapeno, mayonnaise, Monterey Jack cheese, ground cumin, garlic powder and parsley flakes.
Drain one 15 ounce can black beans and mash them with a fork. Add 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, 1/3 cup mayonnaise, 1 jalapeno pepper (seeded, deveined and chopped), 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes and mix until combined.
Spoon mixture into a 1-quart casserole, then top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Place onto a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees uncovered for 20 twenty minutes or until heated through.
You just know it’s good.
Serve with your favorite dippers while rooting for your team.
