From our family to yours, we wish you all a very, very Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy today’s every moment with family and friends and eat to your heart’s desire.
When life gets crazy, it’s so easy to forget the important things: the blessings, small and large, that define who we are.
I have a lot to be thankful for this year…
First and foremost, my family. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who has worked so hard in his career, I am now able to go forth and realize my own dreams. What I am doing now, I never thought was possible.
I am thankful for my two beautiful boys who continue to teach me what it is to love unconditionally and enjoy life wholeheartedly.
I am grateful for having the opportunity to stay home and raise my kids, not missing any details of my children’s lives.
I appreciate the clarity I have discovered (this seems to have taken the longest), being able to focus on things most important to me and being at peace with those decisions.
Realizing how much good is in my life and never taking any of it for granted….even when it seems like the sky is falling.
For good friends, near and far. Sharing life and experiences with them has been a wonderful gift.
And now for the small blessings I am grateful for everyday…they may seem unimportant but these are the ”icing”, making my daily life more palatable…
My husband doing the dishes and emptying the dishwasher…I can make quite a grand mess in the kitchen.
My Kitchen Aid Mixer, I could not live without it.
Morning walks with friends for our daily dose of exercise, especially when it’s over!
My favorite cooking magazines.
My husband’s right-eye eyelashes that are curly, while the left are straight. I love that.
The right to vote.
Good wine.
Chris Daughtry’s Music, I love it.
Coffee.
Legos, because they entertain my children for hours.
Freedom.
My camera, to capture life’s memories.
Whipped cream, butter, mayonnaise and bacon.
My reading glasses, I can see again!
Oatmeal…I love oatmeal.
For my blog readers. I can’t believe you all visit here everyday, I am truly humbled.
Overall, my life is not in any way easy or extraordinary but it is enjoyable. I would never change it for anything else in the world…for that I am truly grateful.
“Gratitude – the quality or feeling of being thankful. A sentiment often expressed during the Thanksgiving holiday, in the form of blessings, hugs and pumpkin pies. Thanks, thankfulness, appreciation and gratefulness.” -Real Simple Magazine
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What a great picture of you and the Hooligans. And what a special tribute to what you are thankful for ! I am thankful for blogs like yours ! I am also thankful for the pumpkin/yellow cake recipe I was making tonight to take as the Thanksgiving dessert. It is a perfect choice, we have so many lactose intolerant relatives…but the yellow cake mix I bought is lactose free and hooray, I can make a rich pumpkin dessert without dairy !
Also, yes, yes, yes, I am so thankful for butter, mayonnaise and bacon ! The real stuff! But I am too most thankful for my family and friends and the abundance we still have in our home and country ! Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I forgot to mention the recipe I am using for dessert is the recipe you posted Nov. 11, Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake with Apple Cider Glaze ! Thanks again !

Thanks for sharing your pictures…I just love your website and never miss a morning, first thing in the morning, going over to my kitchen computer and checking out your entry. Whether it is food, wine, or the property, the hooligans, I am entertained by it all. Thank You again.

I’m anxiously awaiting your winery to one day open. I’ll be making the trip down south from Seattle to visit. I grew up in the Willamette Valley and touring the vineyards remains one of my favorite things to do.
