Happy Thanksgiving

From our family to yours, we'd like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Enjoy every moment of your feast with family and friends...remember, these are the good ole' days and the memories you make will last a lifetime (unlike the dinner that will be devoured in about 15 minutes).  If you find yourself alone today, for whatever reason, make the best of it and you will be surprised at how you can still get that Thanksgiving feeling all by yourself.

Thanksgiving is also a great time to remember what we are thankful for...here's my short list.

I am thankful for my husband who continues to support and follow me in my dreams, even when the path is very steep and rocky with lots of potholes and wrong turns along the way.  For this I am forever grateful.

I am eternally thankful for my two sons.  They have taught me the meaning of unconditional love, patience and understanding.  I feel so blessed to have been entrusted with their lives and hearts in this lifetime.  There is no greater gift.

I am thankful for my health.  I have close family and friends who struggle daily with pain and disease.  I pray and wish they will enjoy good health one day soon.

I am thankful for life's continuing challenges.  When one door closes another does open.  Focusing on how I can learn from those moments rather than the inconveniences they have caused, has given me clarity and a broader understanding of life's "bigger picture".

I am thankful to finally be living where somewhere I can experience all four seasons.  Oregon is truly one of the most beautiful places in the United States. And to be living in wine country has just been icing on the cake.

I am thankful for the new friends we have made here.  They welcomed us so easily into their lives and without question.  This has been one of the year's greatest gifts.

I am thankful for the mistakes I've made along the way.  This has only pushed me to do better, try harder and look deeper for more creative solutions.

I am thankful for the community of bloggers and friends we have built here and those who have gone further and joined me on Facebook.  It is an amazing resource to have so many individuals at the touch of button.  I am always thankful for your comments, your questions, your insights and your emails.  Your support never ceases to amaze me.

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
and your pies take the prize,
and may your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off your thighs.
-Unknown

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, have a great day!
