The Official Food Blog of Noble Pig Vineyard & Winery
Limited-production Noble Pig Wine is now available. Please visit us at www.noblepigwine.com to learn about our
vineyard and winery in the beautiful Oregon wine country.
Hi! I’m Cathy. I've escaped from a peculiar Northern California college town that built an underground tunnel to save toads from the potentials of vehicular frog-slaughter. I now live in Mcminnville,
Oregon where my husband and I have planted a vineyard, started a winery and make wine in the heart of Oregon wine country. I love mayonnaise, butter and Jewish men. Barry, Jerry and Larry come to
mind. Gluttony is my sin of choice. Welcome to my weird and wonderful world.

Those photos of your boys in the empty pool are so sad--almost heartbreaking. You lured them out there in their swimming trunks and taunted them by making them get in the empty pool just for the sake of posting those pictures on your blog. You mean mommy you! Sounds like just the sort of thing I would do, LOL!
My girls (16 and 11 1/2 going on 21) have suddenly become much more girlie this summer and the pond in front of our house is "gross" and "yucky" now. It's pretty clean for a pond since the water comes from our water source heat pump and it's constantly being fed fresh, cool water as long as the air conditioning (or heat) is running. The youngest has begged me to take her to the pool in our small town, but if you read Rechelle's post about the pool, you know why I haven't. So, instead, they lay out tanning themselves on some cheap rafts and try to stay as far away from the muddy bottom of the pond as they can. Reply to this

Our pool could win the gross award this year; it's black. Or green-black, to be more accurate. The reason? The filter is toast; we bought a new one today. Frost damage did the old one in, the perils of living in a climate that has such bad winters. So now the old one has to be hauled out and that's going to be one heavy job. Your pool looks so scrubbed-down clean; I envy that as soon as you have water, you'll be back up and running again. But man, that spider! That's one bad-ass creature! Reply to this
