Noble Pig's Wine Shopping List
Many of you have requested a printable, comprehensive shopping list for the wines posted in this blog. Be careful what you ask for because here it is. The list will remain over in the left sidebar area and be updated when a new wine has been reviewed. Each wine will remain on the list for up to one year.
You will be able to find the wines under three categories, just like a restaurant wine list. The designations will be White & Red, Wine Varietals and Country of Origin. The wines will be in a list under each designation and it will be up to you to decide how you like to find a wine you like. (i.e. by color, varietal etc.).
Click on the title of this post in the sidebar and a printer icon will appear allowing you to also print the list. To re-familiarize yourself with a wine, just click on the wine's producer name and you can link to the original post.
Take this list to your favorite wine shop or use it to peruse your favorite online wine-dealers for purchase. Prices may of course vary.
Enjoy!

Can I ask one question... I am learning I prefer the sweeter reds... what ones on that thar list tend to lean on the sweet side.
I know you have lots of time to tend to my question

You ought to go into business as a psychic.
Today I was browsing our local mega-plex booze mall and thought, "What the ?&%! was the name of that last red wine Cathy was blogging about?" and found myself trying to remember what the darn label looked like.
After pouring over 200+ bottles, I finally gave up and decided to consult your blog to make my own list, but voila! The list had already been made. Wonderful! And thank you for this incredible time saver!

Even though I don't drink wine I think it is a great thing that you share your research and knowledge with others who do.

This is fantastic! I love that you aren't afraid to list $10 bottles, too...
I took a wine tasting class when I lived in Florence years ago, and I remember once tasting from a $100 bottle of wine. I left class, stopped at the enoteca around the corner from my apartment and bought a bottle for the equivalent of $2. (And of course the irony of "two-buck chuck" was not lost on me). It was fantastic. I've never spent more than $15 on a bottle since then. But I'm young and relatively new out of school. Maybe I'll grow out of that.
In the meantime, that Falesco you posted about yesterday is at the top of my list of wines to try. Yay for the $10 GOOD wine!

Great list! I remember doing picnics at V Sattui when I lived around there. Have you ever tried the Pinotage from J in Healdsburg?

OK, I'm genuinely wanting to know... if/when you cook with cab, what do you use? Any suggestions on a white wine for cooking?
I do buy decently priced wines to cook with, but I've gone on instinct in terms of winery and flavor since my knowledge of the subject is limited.

How come you don't have any Canadian wines on the list? The Okanagon area of British Columbia produces many fine wines as does the wine area of Ontario.

This is so great! Thank you so much!
I am a wine hoarder- I am buying it at a much faster rate than we can possibly drink it, but it's my favorite type of shopping.
Thanks again!
